The Bible teaches that all humanity is born spiritually dead through our connection to Adam. In the Garden of Eden, Adam’s disobedience brought spiritual death into the world. As his descendants, we inherit this sin nature. Ephesians 2:1 says we were once dead in our trespasses and sins, separated from God. Apart from putting our faith in Christ, this spiritual death leads to eternal separation from God—hell.

This is a major issue for everyone: our separation from our Creator. Romans 3:23 reminds us, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” No amount of good deeds or effort can bridge this gap or restore spiritual life.

But God, in His love and mercy, provided a solution. His answer is Jesus Christ. John 10:10 reveals God’s plan: Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Through His death on the cross, and resurrection, Jesus offers eternal life to all who believe in Him. He took on our sin, paid the penalty, and by trusting in His resurrected life, we are spiritually alive and reconciled to God.

Salvation is a gift from God to those who believe in Jesus. We cannot earn it. When we place our faith in Him, we receive new, eternal life—a life full of hope and a relationship with God. The solution to our greatest problem—spiritual death—is found in Jesus Christ alone.
